What is 500 Casino?

500 Casino is a crypto casino and sportsbook run by Perfect Storm B.V. of Curaçao, which started life in 2016 as CSGO500, a Counter-Strike skin gambling site. It now trades at 500.casino and still accepts CS2 and Rust skins alongside crypto. It is one of the larger brands we list in our crypto casinos hub, with about 473,000 followers on its X account as of October 2026.

Our rating: Mixed

A long-running casino with a Curaçao licence we verified and no unresolved formal complaints, set against a 2023 Swedish regulator ban and a steady run of Trustpilot reports of accounts locked after wins that it rarely answers.

We rate crypto casinos from public sources only: the licence and what it covers, who owns it, what players report about withdrawals and complaints, how clear its terms are and how long it has been trading. Last reviewed 27 October 2026. How we rate crypto casinos.

History and ownership

500 Casino grew out of the CS:GO skin betting boom. Sportsgambler's review says the brand "made a name for itself back in 2016" in skin gambling, and the company has kept the old CSGO500 and 500play domains alive under the same licence. The skin roots still show: deposits by CS2 or Rust skin trade sit next to crypto and Kinguin gift cards.

The operating company is Perfect Storm B.V., registered in Curaçao under number 150536 with an address on Fransche Bloemweg in Willemstad. Before Curaçao's 2024 licensing reform it worked under the old master licence number 8048/JAZ2021-088, which is the number Sweden's regulator recorded in 2023. The people behind Perfect Storm are not named on the review sites or the licence certificate we opened, so beneficial ownership is not public.

Fair Gambling, a data site that tracks crypto casinos, estimated 500 Casino's net gaming revenue at about $60 million and counted roughly 9,100 unique depositors in its last update of 7 September 2026. Those are third-party estimates, not company figures, but they place it among the mid-to-large crypto brands rather than a small side project.

Games and sportsbook

The game count depends on who you ask: Sportsgambler says over 3,000 titles, The Spike lists 5,109 slots and Fair Gambling counts 5,007 games from 53 providers, all checked in September or October 2026. Named studios include Pragmatic Play, Evolution and NetEnt, and The Spike mentions Nolimit City's Outsourced series. We cover several of those studios' recent releases, such as Gates of Olympus 2500, Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter and Outsourced 2: Balkan Engineering; what is in the lobby varies by country, so check before assuming a title is there.

The in-house side is split into "Classics" (roulette, crash, dice, plinko, towers, mines, wheel and duels) and "Originals". Sportsgambler says Keno and Limbo were added in September 2025. Fair Gambling puts the return on the top house games at 98% and the average slot return across the site at 96.55%; those figures are averages, and individual slots can be set at lower return versions by the provider.

There is a sportsbook, powered by Betby according to Fair Gambling, covering football, basketball, tennis and esports such as CS2 and League of Legends. Fair Gambling estimated an average sports margin of 6.21%, which is on the high side for major markets. Live dealer tables (blackjack, roulette, baccarat) come mainly from Evolution. It sits in our crypto slots casinos list for the size of its slot library.

Deposits, withdrawals and KYC in practice

500 Casino is crypto first. It accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum (it is in our Bitcoin casinos and Ethereum casinos lists), stablecoins such as USDT and USDC (USDT and stablecoin casinos), Solana (Solana casinos) and a spread of other coins (altcoin casinos). Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Skrill purchases go through a third-party crypto exchange with fees of 1% to 11% according to Sportsgambler, and there are no fiat withdrawals: you cash out in crypto or skins.

On limits, AskGamblers lists a withdrawal cap of $25,000 a day, while The Spike cites up to $750,000 a month; both were updated in 2026. Fair Gambling describes payouts as instant with blockchain fees on top. VIP players can ask for higher limits. None of the sources gives a casino-wide minimum withdrawal, which varies by coin.

KYC is described as light rather than absent. Fair Gambling's September 2026 entry says no ID is needed to start, but that verification can be requested, especially around large withdrawals. That matches the pattern in the complaints below: several Trustpilot reviewers say their problems started when they won and asked to withdraw. Anyone choosing a crypto casino because it seems to need no ID should read the terms on verification before depositing.

Licence and safety

The licence checks out. The Curaçao Gaming Authority certificate we opened shows Perfect Storm B.V. holding B2C licence OGL/2024/1354/0882, status active, granted 16 December 2024, with 500.casino among six approved domains. That is the new direct licence Curaçao introduced in its 2024 reform, rather than the old sub-licence system under which many casinos shared one master number.

What it does not do is give players much protection. Curaçao is an offshore licence: there is no compensation scheme, dispute routes for players are limited, and the regulator does not publish detailed enforcement records. A Curaçao licence is permission to operate from Curaçao, not a guarantee of fair treatment in a dispute.

We found no published third-party audit of the in-house games and no proof of reserves. Fair Gambling's page lists provably fair features such as seed control and a verification tool, but its own data did not confirm which are active, so we cannot say the house games are provably fair. Fair Gambling also records a hot wallet total of about $2.8 million, which is an outside estimate, not an audited balance. On account security, the same page lists two-factor authentication, including for withdrawal confirmation.

Bonuses and VIP

The welcome offer is built around rakeback rather than a big matched deposit. Sportsgambler describes it as a deposit over $25 within seven days unlocking a rakeback boost and free spins. Ongoing promotions include daily and weekly "Royales" leaderboard races for the top 100, raffles, challenges and Bonus Buy Battles; Fair Gambling put the leaderboard and raffle pool at $1,000,000.

The VIP ladder runs from Silver to Supernova across 12 tiers, with rakeback, lossback, reloads, level-up rewards, a birthday bonus at Emerald and a VIP host. Sportsgambler reports a Rolex at level 1,200. Fair Gambling's own test of two $500 accounts each wagering $25,000 returned 33.3% of the house edge as rakeback, about $83 each; one account ended up $483 ahead and the other lost its $500, which shows how far luck outweighs any rakeback.

As with any casino bonus, rewards carry wagering rules and terms that can be changed, and several AskGamblers user reviews say bonus terms turned deposits into bonus funds they could not withdraw straight away. Read the terms of any offer before taking it.

Complaints, controversies and what has gone wrong

The most serious item on record is regulatory. On 2 November 2023 Sweden's gambling regulator, Spelinspektionen, issued a decision banning Perfect Storm B.V. from offering gambling in Sweden without a licence, with immediate effect. It found csgo500.com had Swedish-language information and terms that referred to Swedish customers, that affiliates marketed it in Swedish, and that Swedes were not blocked from signing up. The decision lists 500.casino, 500play.com and csgo500.io as the company's other sites, and records that Perfect Storm was invited to respond but did not. It was a ban, not a fine, and it did not make any finding about unpaid players.

  • Trustpilot (October 2026): the 500 Casino profile, listed under csgo500.com, scores 2.9 out of 5 from 967 reviews, 21% of them one star. The company has claimed the page but replied to only 10% of negative reviews. Reviews between June and September 2026 report a verified account banned with winnings unpaid (12 September), a disputed large jackpot with a withheld balance (posted 9 June, updated 28 September) and a suspended account holding funds (18 June). These are player reports, not findings.
  • Trustpilot, other themes: several 2026 reviews allege rigged or low-paying games; one from 15 September makes serious claims about match-fixing and staff conduct with no evidence offered, and we treat it as unverified. Positive reviews in the same period praise fast withdrawals (24 October), deposits and VIP bonuses (27 June and 15 July) and support (9 July and 28 August).
  • AskGamblers: no formal complaints recorded, a CasinoRank of 8/10 and a player rating of 9.1 from 91 reviews, though the written player reviews mention withdrawal problems and account restrictions.
  • Fair Gambling (7 September 2026): 0 unresolved Casino.guru complaints and 3 unresolved accusations on BitcoinTalk. We could not open those BitcoinTalk threads, so we do not repeat their content.

We found no reports of a hack, a shutdown, frozen site-wide withdrawals or a court case involving 500 Casino. The pattern is a familiar one for big crypto casinos: plenty of happy players, a steady minority reporting account closures after wins, and a company that rarely answers them in public.

The good and the bad

The good

  • A Curaçao licence we verified on the regulator's own certificate, naming 500.casino
  • Ten years of continuous trading under the same company since 2016
  • No formal complaints on AskGamblers and none unresolved on Casino.guru as of September 2026
  • A large game library, a sportsbook and rakeback-based rewards rather than an oversized match bonus
  • Two-factor authentication on withdrawals

The bad

  • A 2023 ban from Sweden's regulator for targeting Swedish players without a licence, which the company did not answer
  • A 2.9 Trustpilot score with reports of accounts closed and winnings withheld, and replies to only 10% of negative reviews
  • No named owners, no published game audit, no proof of reserves
  • Offshore licence with limited dispute routes; no fiat withdrawals

Our verdict: 500 Casino is a real, long-running and properly licensed offshore operator, and the licence certificate backs up what it says about itself. Against that, Sweden's regulator found it marketing to Swedes without a licence in 2023, and its Trustpilot page carries a steady stream of reports about accounts locked after wins that the company mostly leaves unanswered. Those are reports, not findings, and AskGamblers and Casino.guru show no unresolved formal complaints. We rate it Mixed: not a site with documented unpaid withdrawals, but not one we would describe as low risk either.

For UK readers

500 Casino does not hold a UK Gambling Commission licence, and an operator needs one to offer gambling to people in Great Britain. The sources disagree on how it treats the UK: The Spike's country list (updated September 2026) shows the United Kingdom as restricted, while Sportsgambler says the site can be reached from the UK with casino games unavailable. Either way, UK players on a site like this are outside GAMSTOP and outside UKGC protections such as affordability checks and the complaint route to an approved dispute body. The US, France and the Netherlands are blocked on both lists.

A few crypto basics apply here as everywhere. Your balance moves with the coin's price, a blockchain transfer cannot be reversed, and withdrawals usually go back out in crypto. FAQs

Is 500 Casino legit?

500 Casino is a real operator with a licence we verified: Perfect Storm B.V. holds Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/1354/0882, active since December 2024 and covering 500.casino. It has traded since 2016. Sweden's regulator banned it from the Swedish market in 2023, and Trustpilot reviewers report some accounts closed after wins, so we rate it Mixed rather than Good.

Who owns 500 Casino?

500 Casino is run by Perfect Storm B.V., a Curaçao company registered under number 150536 in Willemstad. The same company runs the older CSGO500 and 500play domains under one licence. The individuals behind Perfect Storm are not named on the licence certificate or on the review sites we checked, so beneficial ownership is not public.

Is 500 Casino the same as CSGO500?

Yes. 500 Casino began in 2016 as CSGO500, a Counter-Strike skin gambling site, and csgo500.com and csgo500.io are approved domains on the same Curaçao licence as 500.casino. Its Trustpilot profile is still listed under csgo500.com. The site still takes CS2 and Rust skins as deposits alongside crypto.

How fast are 500 Casino withdrawals?

Review sites describe crypto withdrawals as near instant, with blockchain fees on top. AskGamblers lists a limit of $25,000 a day and The Spike cites up to $750,000 a month, both from 2026. There are no fiat withdrawals. Some Trustpilot reviewers report withdrawals held or accounts suspended after wins, particularly when verification is requested.

Does 500 Casino require KYC?

Not to sign up. Fair Gambling describes it as light KYC: no ID to open an account and play, but verification can be requested, especially around large withdrawals. That means a no-ID start does not guarantee a no-ID cashout, and several player complaints describe problems that began at the withdrawal stage.

Can UK players use 500 Casino?

500 Casino has no UK Gambling Commission licence, which an operator needs to offer gambling in Great Britain. One review site lists the UK as restricted, another says casino games are unavailable there. UK players on offshore crypto casinos are outside GAMSTOP and UKGC protections. The US, France and the Netherlands are blocked.
