Outsourced 2: Balkan Engineering

Outsourced 2 - Balkan Engineering is a Nolimit City slot built on the studio's usual mechanics: xWays, xNudge and a long menu of paid bonus options. The theme is a cheerfully shoddy construction firm, introduced by a foreman who admits his work is cheaper because his cousin does it, and the game's top prize is spelled 'Big Szukcess'.

Nolimit City states the maximum payout as 11,111 times the base bet. When a total win exceeds that amount, the round ends and exactly 11,111 times the base bet is awarded. The studio also lists the game on its own site, at Nolimit City's Outsourced 2 page, where it shows an RTP of 96.04% and a grid of five reels by five rows.

What sets the game apart is how many separate systems feed into the multiplier. Symbols grow through Infectious xWays, positions gain multipliers through Print Spins respins, wilds nudge up to 999x, and the player can buy a range of boosters. The sections below take each in turn.

Infectious xWays reveals a regular paying symbol and expands every occurrence of it to a size of 2 to 4. The reveal may also turn up a blocker symbol instead, which has no payout and simply gets in the way.

The infection is the interesting part. All occurrences of the revealed paying symbol are enlarged to a size of 2 to 4, which creates many more ways to win on a single spin. If more than one Infectious xWays symbol lands on the reels, they all reveal the same symbol, so a second one does not diversify the result, it reinforces it.

Multiple infections on the same symbol increase its size multiplicatively. In practice that means a symbol that is infected twice can become much larger than either infection alone would make it. For players, the lesson is to watch the paying symbol that gets revealed: a high-value symbol that is infected repeatedly is the setup the game is built around.

The Elevator is a symbol with two jobs depending on where it lands. In the base game it can reveal either an instant bonus mode or a blocker symbol, so a landing carries both a prize and a penalty.

Within the bonus modes, the Elevator changes role. Landing one may award 1, 2 or 7 additional spins, or reveal a blocker symbol. The 7-spin outcome is a large extension relative to the 4 or 7 spins the bonus modes begin with, so an Elevator landing early in a bonus is one of the better moments to see.

The xNudge Balkan Wild can land in any position in the game and can nudge with a multiplier of up to 999x. The wild nudges across the reel, and for every step it nudges, the wild multiplier increases by 1.

When several xNudge Balkan Wilds are present, their multipliers add to each other to form a total win multiplier. The addition keeps things bounded, though a large nudge combined with other wilds can still produce a very big total.

There is also a failure case. The xNudge Balkan Wild may malfunction and remain a 1x1 Wild, which matches the game's comic engineering theme but is a real disappointment when a nudge looked likely. It is worth keeping in mind that the 999x figure is a ceiling, not a typical outcome.

Print Spins is the respin mechanic that runs after a win. The winning symbols are paid out before the Print Spins start, then those symbols disappear, leaving empty positions for new symbols to drop into.

The multiplier on each winning position increases by one with every Print Spin. These multipliers count for regular paying symbols only, and the respins continue until there are no more wins. If an Infectious xWays symbol lands during Print Spins, the symbol it reveals is paid using the increased multiplier on that position.

The game states that the symbol multiplier on a winning Ways symbol position reverts to the previous value plus 1. A long chain of wins is what turns a modest base spin into something larger, because every cascade raises the multiplier on the positions that keep winning.

Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers 4 Tilt Spins. Landing 4 Bonus symbols triggers 7 Tiltier Spins, which work the same way but with 3 additional spins. Any symbol multipliers from the base game are kept during the spins, so a spin that is already carrying multipliers when it triggers the bonus has a head start.

Filthiest Spins is the bought version. At a cost of 999 times the base bet, the player is guaranteed 7 Filthiest Spins. This bonus works like Tiltier Spins, but it starts with x2 multipliers on all positions, so every position begins with a multiplier already in place.

The cost is the thing to weigh up. A 999x buy-in is a very large commitment relative to a normal spin, and it does not guarantee a profit. Nolimit City's published figures show only the cost and the guaranteed spins, so any decision about buying should rest on the game's own information screen and what you can afford to lose.

Outsourced 2 has an unusually long list of paid options, each priced as a multiple of the base bet. Bonus Booster costs 1.35 times the bet and guarantees a Bonus symbol on the top position of the second leftmost reel, which the studio says makes Tilt Spins or Tiltier Spins more than 3 times as likely to activate.

Balkan Bonus Booster costs 13.5 times the bet and guarantees a Bonus symbol on the initial spin and on any respin triggered by a win, making the bonuses more than 20 times as likely. The Print Spins boosters start a spin with multipliers on every position: 3x Print Spins costs 15 times the bet, 6x Printier Spins costs 200 times, and 8x Printiest Spin costs 750 times.

God Mode costs 1,111 times the bet and chases Big Szukcess by landing the 'B', 'O', 'O' and 'M' symbols on the reels. Landing those four symbols, in the main game or in a bonus, awards an instant Big Szukcess.

xTra Spin is different, because it may offer you an additional spin when a round ends. The extra spin keeps the multiplier state of the previous spin, its price is worked out from the multiplier values, and if the cost is less than or equal to the win on the previous spin then only the extra spin opportunity is presented. Bonus symbols can land in an extra spin.

The maximum payout is 11,111 times the base bet, and Nolimit City applies it as a hard cap. The round stops when the total win exceeds that amount, and exactly 11,111 times the base bet is paid, so no combination of multipliers can pay more.

The studio's page lists an RTP of 96.04%. As with other slots, casinos can sometimes run a lower-RTP configuration, so check the information screen in the game to confirm what applies at the site you use.

Because so many of the options carry a price as a multiple of your stake, the number that matters most for budgeting is the cost of whichever option you choose, not the base bet. A 15x booster, for instance, means a single spin costs fifteen times a normal one. The options with multipliers of 200x, 750x, 999x and 1,111x are best treated as expensive extras, not routine play.

The demo is the safest place to learn how these systems interact. Start with plain spins and watch what Infectious xWays reveals, how often a blocker appears, and how Print Spins chains build multipliers on a position.

Then try the cheaper boosters, noting how often the Bonus Booster actually produces a trigger, and compare the length of Tilt Spins against Tiltier Spins. Keep in mind that demo play is a small sample and does not predict real results.
