Ethereum Casinos: how they work, what to check and how the ones we cover compare

Ether and ERC-20 deposits, gas fees, wallet-connect sign-ins and the approvals they ask for, plus a straight comparison of the casinos we track.

What are ethereum casinos?

An Ethereum casino accepts Ether (ETH), and usually tokens that run on Ethereum such as USDT and USDC, for deposits and withdrawals. Some let you sign in by connecting a wallet instead of opening an email account. Every casino on this page lists ETH in its cashier; none of them is licensed in the UK, and four of the six carry our Poor rating.

The appeal is speed and flexibility. Ethereum produces a slot every 12 seconds, according to ethereum.org, so a deposit usually lands far faster than a Bitcoin one. Blocks are grouped into epochs of 32 slots, about 6.4 minutes, and finality is checked at epoch boundaries, which is why a cautious casino may wait several minutes before crediting a large transfer. Mega Dice's own cashier quotes 5 to 15 minutes for an ETH deposit.

One wallet can hold ETH and dozens of tokens, so a player can move between a volatile coin and a dollar stablecoin without leaving the Ethereum network. The catch is gas: every transfer, including a USDT or USDC transfer on Ethereum, is paid for in ETH. More on our crypto casinos hub.

How to choose an ethereum casino

Know who pays the gas. Ethereum's fee has two parts, a base fee set by the protocol and burned, and an optional priority fee that goes to validators, and both are paid in ETH, as ethereum.org explains. You pay it on deposits. On withdrawals some casinos absorb it and some pass it on; Rollbit, for example, says it charges nothing beyond network gas, according to Casinos.org. Fees also apply when a transaction fails, so a botched transfer still costs you.

Match the token and the network. An ERC-20 address is for tokens on Ethereum. USDT also exists on Tron, Solana and other chains, and a casino that lists "USDT" may only credit one of them. Check the network label in the cashier every time, because a transfer on the wrong chain is not something the casino can undo.

Treat wallet-connect sign-in with care. Betpanda logs players in with a Web3 wallet, and Mega Dice accepts WalletConnect for ETH deposits. Connecting a wallet is not dangerous in itself; approving a token allowance can be. Ethereum.org's own guide to revoking token access warns that a site granted unlimited access "can spend all those tokens even if you have withdrawn your funds", that approvals never expire, and that disconnecting a wallet does not remove them. Approve only exact amounts and revoke what you no longer use.

Check the licence and the payout record. Stake's Curaçao licence is active on the regulator's certificate page and BitStarz appears on the Curaçao registry. Rollbit's old Curaçao certificate reads revoked, and Betpanda's terms say it operates under no domestic licensing regime. Then read AskGamblers and Trustpilot for how withdrawals are actually handled.

Separate ETH from house tokens. Rollbit's RLB and BC.Game's BC token sit next to ETH in their cashiers but are casino-issued assets. Datawallet reported RLB more than 75% below its late 2023 peak in August 2026.

The risks

UK players are outside the regulated market. A business needs a Gambling Commission licence to offer gambling in Great Britain, wherever it is based, and the Commission's own guidance tells players to check the register for the operator's exact domain. None of these six is on it. Stake, Rollbit, BC.Game and BitStarz say they do not take UK players; Mega Dice and Betpanda do not list the UK as restricted but have no UK licence. GAMSTOP and UKGC safeguards do not reach any of them, and no UK-licensed casino accepts ETH.

ETH is volatile. The FCA's crypto guide cites Ethereum falling 42.49% from its peak and tells buyers to be prepared to lose everything. A balance held in ETH rises and falls with that price whether you win or lose at the tables.

Hot wallets get hacked. On or about 4 September 2023 roughly $41 million left Stake's Ethereum, Polygon and BNB Chain hot wallets, and the FBI attributed the theft to North Korea's Lazarus Group, The Block reported. Stake said users would not be affected. In March 2026 BC.Game reported a $4.3 million exploit through a third-party game. Neither casino publishes an audited proof of reserves we could find.

Signing is final. A malicious approval or a transfer to the wrong address cannot be reversed by anyone. Bonuses on these sites come with wagering rules. Gambling is for over-18s, never a way to earn a living, and free help is at BeGambleAware.

How the casinos we cover compare

BitStarz is the only casino here we rate Good. It takes ETH alongside BTC and other coins, has operated since 2014 under licensed Curaçao companies, and showed a 4.3 Trustpilot score from 5,443 reviews on 12 October 2026. Its weaknesses are an offshore-only licence, unnamed owners and rejected complaints over bonus terms.

Stake is Mixed. The licence checks out and most AskGamblers complaints are resolved, but the 2023 Ethereum hot wallet theft, open questions about its ownership raised by a September 2026 leak of Curaçao regulator files, and US class actions over Stake.us keep it from a cleaner rating.

Rollbit is Poor: an unexplained move to an Anjouan licence in September 2026 after its Curaçao certificate was revoked, pseudonymous founders, a 1.6 Trustpilot score from 4,137 reviews on 11 October 2026 and an unregulated 1000x futures desk next to the casino. BC.Game is Poor because a Curaçao appeal court declared its former operating companies bankrupt in November 2024 over player claims, a ruling BC.Game said it would appeal, and because its current Anjouan licence could not be confirmed on a public register.

Mega Dice, which offers WalletConnect deposits, is Poor: the Curaçao licence in its site code is listed as expired and Sweden banned its operators in May 2025. Betpanda, the wallet-login casino in this list, is Poor as well: no licence covers its domains and AskGamblers showed only 8 of 25 complaints resolved on 11 October 2026, most describing accounts closed with balances inside.

FAQs

Do I pay gas fees at an Ethereum casino?

Yes, on every deposit, because the Ethereum network charges gas in ETH for each transfer, including USDT and USDC tokens on Ethereum. On withdrawals it depends on the casino: some cover the network fee and some deduct it. Gas is due even if a transaction fails, so check the address and network before you confirm.

Is it safe to connect my wallet to a crypto casino?

Connecting alone shares your address; the risk is in what you sign afterwards. A token approval can let a site move your tokens later, approvals do not expire, and disconnecting does not cancel them. Ethereum.org advises never granting unlimited access and revoking old approvals with tools such as Etherscan or Revoke.cash.

How fast are ETH casino deposits and withdrawals?

Ethereum adds a slot every 12 seconds, so deposits often credit within minutes; Mega Dice quotes 5 to 15 minutes. Withdrawals depend on the casino's own approval. AskGamblers lists Stake's and BitStarz's crypto withdrawals at 0 to 1 hours, while identity checks or manual reviews can stretch that to days.

Can I deposit ERC-20 tokens like USDT at an Ethereum casino?

Usually, but only on the network the cashier names. USDT and USDC exist on several blockchains, and a deposit sent on Ethereum to an address meant for Tron or Solana may never be credited. You also need some ETH in the same wallet to pay the gas for an ERC-20 transfer.

Are Ethereum casinos legal for UK players?

No casino may offer gambling to people in Great Britain without a Gambling Commission licence, and none of the Ethereum casinos we cover holds one. Four of them say they do not accept UK players. Anyone who does play on such a site is outside GAMSTOP self-exclusion and outside the UK's complaint and safer gambling rules.
