What is Cloudbet?

Cloudbet is a crypto sportsbook and casino that has traded under the same name since 2013, which makes it one of the oldest brands in the crypto casino market. Its own X bio calls it the original crypto sportsbook and casino, and it pitches itself at high rollers and sports bettors. The website is cloudbet.com.

Our rating: Mixed

A crypto sportsbook with a 13-year record and a verified Curaçao licence, held back by an offshore-only licence, undisclosed owners and a 2026 run of complaints about accounts frozen for months during integrity reviews.

We rate crypto casinos from public sources only: the licence and what it covers, who owns it, what players report about withdrawals and complaints, how clear its terms are and how long it has been trading. Last reviewed 20 October 2026. How we rate crypto casinos.

History and ownership

Cloudbet started in 2013 as a bitcoin betting site and has kept the same brand ever since, which is unusual in a sector where names change often. Its X account dates from April 2013, and the PFL's 2025 announcement described it as operating longer than any other crypto casino and sportsbook, with hundreds of millions of bets placed in more than 40 cryptocurrencies over twelve years.

The licence holder is Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., registered at Abraham Mendez Chumaceiro Boulevard 03 in Willemstad, Curaçao. Cloudbet's footer names Solas Technologies Limited, a wholly owned Cyprus subsidiary, as the processor for some payment methods. Neither Cloudbet's about page nor the directories we read names founders, executives or the people who ultimately own the business, so beneficial ownership is not public.

For most of its first decade Cloudbet worked under Curaçao's old master-licence and sublicence system, and CryptoSlate reports it also held a Montenegro licence through Tiger Tree Holdings d.o.o. Curaçao's reform replaced sublicences with direct licences, and Cloudbet received its own in May 2025. Montenegro no longer appears in its legal footer.

The brand has spent on mainstream sport. In January 2025 the Professional Fighters League named Cloudbet its official and exclusive sports betting and online casino partner in a multi-year deal, and in mid-2026 Matchroom Talent Agency announced UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall as a Cloudbet brand ambassador who supplies picks and fronts content on its Pulse feed.

Games and sportsbook

Sports betting is the core of the brand. CryptoSlate counts about 30 sports, including football, basketball, tennis, esports, Formula 1, MMA and horse racing, with bet builder, early cash-out, edit bet, live betting and live streaming. Cloudbet advertises high limits and a "Whale Mode" that splits very large stakes into a sequence of bets; its terms set a maximum payout of EUR 1,000,000 on any accumulator and send stakes above the automatic level for manual review.

The casino side claims more than 3,000 games, over 2,000 of them slots. AskGamblers lists about 67 providers, among them Evolution for live dealers, NetEnt, Play'n GO, Relax Gaming, Booming Games, Pragmatic Play and Nolimit City. We review many releases from the last two studios, such as Gates of Olympus 2500, Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter and Duck Hunters 2; check the lobby, as catalogues vary by country and change often.

Cloudbet also runs eight in-house Originals: Mines, Pump, Plinko, Dice, Dice: Golden Ticket, Limbo, Roulette and Keno. These are the games covered by its provably fair system, explained below. It sits in our crypto sportsbooks, crypto slots casinos, crypto live casinos and high roller crypto casinos lists.

Deposits, withdrawals and KYC in practice

Cloudbet is not a no-KYC site. Its terms of service, last updated 30 September 2026, require identity checks once cumulative deposits reach USD 2,200, run through the verification firm Sumsub, and let Cloudbet ask for documents at any time: photo ID, proof of address, card checks and a selfie with the ID. Deposits and withdrawals can be locked until verification is done.

On paper, crypto withdrawals are usually processed within 24 hours of approval. AskGamblers lists no withdrawal cap, pending times of up to 24 hours and no weekend cash-outs. Several details in the terms deserve attention before depositing: deposits must be wagered once (100%) before they can be withdrawn, Cloudbet may charge a handling fee of up to 5% on deposits and withdrawals, accounts idle for 12 months can be charged USD 5 a month, and it will not pay to wallet addresses flagged by blockchain analytics tools.

Players report both sides. Positive Trustpilot reviews in October 2026 describe quick, easy cash-outs. The most common negative theme, on Trustpilot and AskGamblers alike, is an account restricted under a "betting integrity review" that players were told could take up to six months, sometimes straight after a large win or withdrawal request. The terms allow Cloudbet to suspend accounts and withhold funds during such checks without a fixed time limit; the details are in the complaints section below.

Licence and safety

We confirmed the licence on the Curaçao Gaming Authority's own certificate page, linked from Cloudbet's footer: Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. holds licence OGL/2024/328/0599, granted on 23 May 2025, status active, covering cloudbet.com, as of 20 October 2026. It permits the holder to offer games of chance under Curaçao's National Ordinance on Games of Chance.

What that does not give you matters as much. Curaçao is an offshore licence. The reformed regulator has a complaints route, but it is a long way from the dispute handling, fund protection and affordability checks of the UK Gambling Commission or the Malta Gaming Authority. Cloudbet is not licensed in the UK, the US or most of Europe, and regulators have acted against it where it was reachable: in October 2022 Australia's media regulator, the ACMA, told internet providers to block Cloudbet as operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Cloudbet's provably fair page applies to its eight Originals. Before a round you see a SHA3-256 hash of the server seed; after rotating seeds you can check the revealed seed against that hash and recompute the result from the server seed, your client seed and the nonce. That proves an Original's result was not changed after you bet. It says nothing about third-party slots, which run on their providers' certified random number generators, or about how withdrawals are handled. We found no published proof of reserves and no independent audit of the operator's finances, and no record of a hack or lost player funds.

Bonuses and VIP

Cloudbet's welcome package pays cash rewards capped at USD 2,500 under clause 8.4.3 of its terms, and CryptoSlate lists the wagering as 1x deposit. One AskGamblers complaint disputes how the package's "cash vault" counts sports turnover, so read the offer's own terms before relying on it.

The VIP club is a published ladder from Bronze to Blue Diamond based on lifetime turnover, from USD 1,000 for Silver to USD 1 billion for the top tier, with 5% to 10% rakeback, boosted rakeback up to 25%, level-up bonuses and daily, weekly and monthly reward drops paid in USDT or your active currency. The page says rewards carry no wagering, but discretionary VIP offers and limits are set by a host and are not defined there.

As with any casino bonus, rewards are a rebate on money staked, not a profit. Rakeback scales with turnover, which means it scales with losses too.

Streamers and sponsorships at Cloudbet

We found no slot streamers who publicly play on Cloudbet, and none of the streamers we profile on SlotsCritic is linked to it. The brand puts its marketing into combat sports instead: the Professional Fighters League deal announced on 14 January 2025, with Cloudbet branding across PFL broadcasts from the Road to Dubai event on 25 January 2025, and the Tom Aspinall ambassador deal announced by Matchroom Talent Agency in mid-2026.

Sponsored athletes and streamers are paid to promote a brand, and streamers in particular often play with balances supplied by the casino. Their picks and wins are entertainment, not evidence of how the site treats ordinary players.

Complaints, controversies and what has gone wrong

Cloudbet's record is long and broadly stable, but 2026 brought a visible cluster of frozen-account complaints. Here is what we found, as of 20 October 2026:

  • AskGamblers: 98 complaints listed, 84 marked resolved, average response time two days. A CasinoRank of 3.8/10 sits beside a player rating of 8.6/10 from 108 reviews. Complaints dated 27 March, 10 and 11 April, 29 June, 10 July and 24 September 2026 report accounts restricted for a "betting integrity review", including one account later closed without a stated reason and one unpaid withdrawal after a lock.
  • AskGamblers, other disputes: a UFC bet from 30 May 2026 reportedly settled as a loss rather than void after a no contest, and a welcome-package dispute over sports turnover.
  • Trustpilot: 3.9 out of 5 from 2,659 reviews, 69% five-star and 21% one-star. Reviews from 5 to 19 October 2026 report restricted accounts and blocked balances of up to several thousand dollars, and one alleges confiscated winnings. Cloudbet replied to 87% of negative reviews; several replies use near-identical wording saying the account was flagged for suspicious activity and paused pending a review.
  • BitcoinTalk: FairGambling's page, updated 3 September 2026, counts 14 unresolved scam accusations there, with no dates or detail. These are user allegations, not findings.
  • Regulators: the ACMA blocking order in Australia (October 2022). We found no fine, licence suspension or court ruling against the operator.

Taken together: the complaints are about account reviews and withheld balances rather than a failure to pay across the board, and many are marked resolved. But an integrity review with an open-ended timescale is a real risk for anyone holding a large balance there, and the six-month figure players were quoted is long by any standard.

The good and the bad, and our verdict

The good

  • Trading under one name since 2013, with no record of a hack or collapse.
  • A direct Curaçao licence we verified on the regulator's own certificate page.
  • A named licence holder and a published restricted-country list.
  • A deep sportsbook, high stated limits and a transparent VIP ladder.
  • Provably fair Originals with a working verification method.

The bad

  • Offshore licence only, with limited dispute routes; no UK or EU licence.
  • A 2026 cluster of complaints about accounts frozen for "integrity reviews" of up to six months.
  • Terms allow handling fees of up to 5% and a 1x deposit turnover before withdrawal.
  • No named owners or managers and no proof of reserves.
  • Blocked by Australia's regulator in 2022.

Our verdict: Mixed. Cloudbet has a longer clean history than almost any crypto casino and a licence that checks out, which puts it ahead of many rivals. Against that, its licence is offshore, its owners are not public, and the most recent complaints describe winning accounts frozen for months under broad discretionary terms. Treat it as a long-running operator with a real account-review risk, keep balances small, and read the terms on fees and verification before depositing.

Cloudbet for UK readers

Cloudbet lists the United Kingdom among its restricted countries in clause 7.1.3 of its terms, and it holds no UK Gambling Commission licence. A casino must hold a UKGC licence to offer gambling to people in Great Britain, so Cloudbet is not open to UK players. Sites like this sit outside GAMSTOP self-exclusion and outside UKGC protections such as dispute resolution and safer-gambling checks.

Crypto adds its own risks. Balances rise and fall with the market, blockchain transfers cannot be reversed, and crypto casinos usually pay out in the coin you deposited. Bonuses come with wagering rules. Gambling is for over-18s only and is never a way to earn money; if it stops being fun, free help is at BeGambleAware. FAQs

Is Cloudbet legit?

Cloudbet is a real, long-running operator: it has traded since 2013 and holds Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/328/0599, which we confirmed on the regulator's certificate page as active in October 2026. That is an offshore licence with limited dispute routes, and 2026 complaints describe accounts frozen for integrity reviews, so we rate it Mixed rather than Good.

How long do Cloudbet withdrawals take?

Cloudbet's terms say crypto withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval, subject to KYC, and AskGamblers lists pending times of up to a day. Many players report quick payouts, but others report accounts restricted for a betting integrity review that they were told could last up to six months, during which balances could not be withdrawn.

Does Cloudbet require KYC?

Yes. Its terms require identity verification once cumulative deposits reach USD 2,200, carried out through Sumsub, and allow Cloudbet to ask for documents at any time. Requests can include photo ID, proof of address, card verification and a selfie holding your ID, and deposits or withdrawals can be locked until checks are complete. It is not a no-KYC casino.

Can UK players use Cloudbet?

No. Cloudbet lists the United Kingdom among its restricted countries and holds no UK Gambling Commission licence, which any site offering gambling to people in Great Britain needs. Offshore crypto casinos also sit outside GAMSTOP and the UKGC's player protections, so UK readers should use UK-licensed operators instead.

Who owns Cloudbet?

The licence holder is Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., a Curaçao company with registration number 148526, and a Cyprus subsidiary, Solas Technologies Limited, processes some payments. Cloudbet does not publish its founders, executives or ultimate owners, and we found no filing that names them, so beneficial ownership remains undisclosed.

Is Cloudbet provably fair?

Its eight in-house Originals, including Mines, Dice, Plinko and Limbo, use a provably fair system: you see a SHA3-256 hash of the server seed before playing and can verify each result afterwards. Third-party slots and live games are not covered by that system and rely on their providers' own certified random number generators.

18+ only. Gambling can be addictive; set limits and never chase losses. Free, confidential support: BeGambleAware.
