Duelbits Launches "Duelbits 1.99" While Hack Funds Stay Missing

A rebuilt site and new Originals arrived on 22 October, but the September theft is still unexplained and a fresh withdrawal complaint sits unanswered.

Duelbits 1.99 is live

Duelbits switched on its rebuilt site, which it calls Duelbits 1.99, on 22 October 2026, a week after teasing it. Its pinned post on X that day read "A new site. A new standard. This is Duelbits 1.99." The FairGambling newsroom's iGaming Weekly for 19 to 25 October lists what changed: a new casino lobby, rebuilt Originals, a redesigned sportsbook and a new rewards and rakeback screen.

For a player, the useful question is what sits underneath the new design. Duelbits has not published a changelog, and nothing in the launch material says how it now holds customer funds or what changed in wallet security after September. A fresh coat of paint is not the same as a written explanation of the breach.

Social posts collected on aggregator sites around launch day claimed the site was overloaded and admitting new users slowly. That is user chatter, not something Duelbits confirmed, so treat it as unverified.

New and rebuilt Originals

The relaunch came with games of its own. FairGambling reports that Duelbits launched Cannonball, a new in-house Original paying up to 500x, rebuilt its Keno Original (billed as "smoother, faster, better", with a player hitting 81.5x on launch day) and redesigned Plinko.

Duelbits sells its Originals as provably fair, which lets a player check that a round's result matches the seeds published for it. That covers the maths of each round. It does not say anything about payout speed, verification checks or how the operator looks after the money in its wallets.

The September hack is still open

The relaunch has not closed the hack story. Duelbits confirmed on 24 September 2026 that about $7 million had been drained from its hot wallets, and security researchers described it as a private key compromise. An Iredell Free News report says that by 19 October most of the funds were unrecovered, no attacker had been named, no settlement had been reported and no regulator or police body had commented publicly. Duelbits offered a bounty on 8 October for the funds' return.

Duelbits says user balances were never touched because the money came from its own operating hot wallet, and it reopened deposits and withdrawals on 27 September with about $8 million across hot and cold wallets. We found nothing in the week to 29 October that changes those facts: no recovery, no named cause, no official post-mortem.

The bad news

  • A fresh withdrawal complaint. On 22 October a reviewer on Trustpilot reported that a $1,000 SOL withdrawal requested on 18 October was still showing "Processing", with support first saying 24 hours and then 72 hours. No reply from Duelbits was shown when we checked on 29 October. This is one player's report, not an established fact.
  • Trustpilot showed a TrustScore of 2.8 from 339 reviews as of 29 October 2026.
  • AskGamblers still lists all 10 of its Duelbits complaints as unresolved, with a CasinoRank of 7.1 out of 10, as of 29 October.
  • Still no published root cause for a second hot wallet theft in under three years, after a reported $4.6 million loss in 2024.

The good news

  • The site is running, with deposits and withdrawals open since 27 September and a rebuilt product now live.
  • Duelbits has kept saying in public that customer balances were not part of the theft, and no outlet we opened reported a player losing a balance to the hack.
  • The new Originals carry provably fair checks, which players can verify round by round.

Our rating stays Mixed: a verified Curaçao licence and six years of trading sit beside an unexplained hack and an unresolved complaint record. The full Duelbits review sets out the licence and history.

UK readers, crypto basics and what to watch

Duelbits says on its X profile that it does not serve the US, the UK or Australia. Crypto casinos like it are almost never licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, and players in Great Britain are outside GAMSTOP and UKGC protections on such sites. Crypto balances move with the market, transfers cannot be reversed, and bonuses and rakeback carry their own rules. Gambling is for over-18s only; free help is at BeGambleAware.

Watch for a written account of how September's breach happened, any recovery from the bounty, whether the 22 October withdrawal complaint gets an answer, and whether 1.99 changes how fast withdrawals clear. Duelbits sits in our provably fair casinos and crypto sportsbooks lists; every other casino is on the crypto casinos hub.

FAQs

What is Duelbits 1.99?

Duelbits 1.99 is the name Duelbits gave its rebuilt site, which went live on 22 October 2026. It brought a new casino lobby, rebuilt in-house Originals, a redesigned sportsbook and a new rewards and rakeback screen, according to FairGambling. Duelbits has not published a changelog, so security and payout changes behind the new design are not documented.

Has Duelbits recovered the money from its September hack?

Not as far as public reporting shows. About $7 million was taken from Duelbits' hot wallets on 24 September 2026. By 19 October most of it was unrecovered, no attacker had been named and no settlement had been reported, despite a bounty offered on 8 October. We found no recovery reported in the week to 29 October.

Are Duelbits withdrawals working after the hack?

Duelbits reopened deposits and withdrawals on 27 September 2026 and says customer balances were not affected. Individual delays are still reported: a Trustpilot reviewer said on 22 October that a $1,000 SOL withdrawal had been stuck in Processing since 18 October, with no reply from Duelbits shown on 29 October.

Is Duelbits available in the UK?

Duelbits says on its X profile that it does not serve the UK, the US or Australia, and it holds a Curaçao licence rather than a UK Gambling Commission licence. Players in Great Britain would have no GAMSTOP or UKGC protection on a site like this, and we do not suggest any way round a country block.
