What is Bitcasino.io?
Bitcasino.io is a crypto casino founded in 2014 inside Coingaming Group, the Tallinn company now called Yolo Group, and it markets itself as the world's first licensed crypto casino. It is a casino first, with slots, live dealers and its own exclusives, plus a sportsbook tab. Its website is bitcasino.io, and it is one of the longest-running names in our crypto casino directory.
- Launched: 2014, within Coingaming Group (now Yolo Group).
- Operator: Moon Technologies B.V., Curaçao company number 152185, on the regulator's certificate; since autumn 2026 the site's own footer names EZ Spins Ltd of Anjouan, Comoros.
- Licence (verified): Curaçao Gaming Authority OGL/2023/111/0069, licensed since 1 July 2024, active for bitcasino.io on 20 October 2026. The footer now cites Anjouan licence ALSI-202509076-F12, issued 30 September 2025, which we could not check on a public register.
- Coins: USDT as the main currency, plus BTC, ETH, TRX, LTC, XRP, ADA, DOGE, BNB, MATIC, BUSD, USDC, SOL and TON, as listed on its site in October 2026.
- KYC: email verification only up to EUR 2,500 in withdrawals; full checks above that.
- Games: more than 5,000 games from about 60 providers, live casino and a sportsbook.
- UK and US: not licensed in either; review sites show it as restricted in the UK.
- Our rating: Mixed.
Our rating: Mixed
A 2014 crypto casino pioneer with a verified Curaçao licence, a big library and fast-payout reputation, now clouded by an unexplained switch to an Anjouan operator, an owner leaving the market and recurring KYC complaints.
We rate crypto casinos from public sources only: the licence and what it covers, who owns it, what players report about withdrawals and complaints, how clear its terms are and how long it has been trading. Last reviewed 20 October 2026. How we rate crypto casinos.
History and ownership
Bitcasino.io launched in 2014, a year after Tim Heath founded Coingaming Group in Tallinn, and two years before the group added the sportsbook Sportsbet.io, according to CryptoSlate's company profile. Coingaming rebranded as Yolo Group in September 2021. The brand's X account, @Bitcasinoio, was opened in December 2013 and had 32,331 followers on 20 October 2026.
It built its name on high limits, fast crypto payouts and VIP treatment. Gaming.net reports EGR award wins in consecutive years from 2020 to 2023. In 2022 it signed African music stars as global ambassadors, including Kenyan rapper King Kaka in January, The Citizen reported, and South African rapper Cassper Nyovest on a two-year deal in May, Sunday World reported. Its VIPs were promised visits to the group's Bombay Club in Tallinn.
Since 2025 the owner has been heading the other way. On 23 September 2025 ERR News reported that Yolo Group was cutting 280 jobs in Estonia, leaving unregulated markets and consolidating under one Yolo brand, and Gaming.net wrote that Bitcasino.io and Sportsbet.io were expected to be phased out over time. In February 2026 EGR, citing The Australian, reported talks to sell both brands, with Betsson named. No completed sale had been announced in anything we found by 20 October 2026.
Then on 30 September 2026 the Bombay Club casino closed and Yolo.com went offline, CDC Gaming reported. Around the same time Bitcasino's footer stopped naming Moon Technologies B.V. and started naming EZ Spins Ltd, an Anjouan company. We do not know whether that reflects a sale, a restructuring or a licensing move; neither Yolo nor the brand has said publicly in anything we could find.
Games and sportsbook
The library is the main draw. Its homepage claims more than 5,000 games, and AskGamblers lists about 60 providers, including Pragmatic Play, Evolution, NetEnt, Play'n GO, Nolimit City and Hacksaw Gaming. The site's own featured providers in October 2026 were Evolution, NetEnt, Microgaming, AvatarUX, OneTouch, PG Soft, Caleta, Hacksaw Gaming, Spinomenal and Betsoft.
That means many of the releases we cover should be easy to find, for example Hacksaw's Wicked Grin or Pragmatic's Sweet Bonanza Super Scatter, though catalogues change by country and we did not check single titles. There are Bitcasino exclusives, bonus-buy and hold-and-win sections, crash and instant-win games, a VIP Privé live area with baccarat, blackjack and roulette, and game shows.
The sportsbook is a secondary product here, sharing its roots with Sportsbet.io. Poker is limited. The footer links to a page titled Are the Games Provably Fair alongside a fairness and RNG testing page, but we could not open either from the UK, so we cannot say which games carry verifiable provably fair proofs.
Deposits, withdrawals and KYC in practice
Bitcasino now treats Tether as its primary currency and lists 14 coins: USDT, BTC, ETH, TRX, LTC, XRP, ADA, DOGE, BNB, MATIC, BUSD, USDC, SOL and TON, plus third-party services to buy crypto with a card. AskGamblers also lists fiat routes including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Neteller, which vary by country.
Speed is its selling point, and many players agree: Trustpilot reviews from December 2025 to September 2026 praise fast withdrawals, and AskGamblers players rate it 8.7 out of 10 from 267 reviews. AskGamblers lists a minimum withdrawal of 0.001 BTC; its page contradicts itself on a weekly cap, quoting both 50 BTC a week and no limit, so check the current terms before a large cash-out.
KYC is light until it is not. AskGamblers says withdrawals up to EUR 2,500 need only email verification and larger ones trigger full checks, and its complaint file includes holds while a third-party verification service checked documents and accounts closed over alleged multiple accounts. Verify early if you plan to play with sums that might grow past the threshold.
Licence and safety
The Curaçao licence is verified. The Curaçao Gaming Authority's certificate shows Moon Technologies B.V., company number 152185, licensed since 1 July 2024 under OGL/2023/111/0069, status Active, with bitcasino.io and livecasino.io as approved domains, when we checked on 20 October 2026. Before the 2023 Curaçao reform the brand cited the old master licence 1668/JAZ.
The site's own footer tells a newer story. Captures of the homepage by the Internet Archive name Moon Technologies B.V. and the CGA up to 30 August 2026; the capture from 15 October 2026 names EZ Spins Ltd, registration number 16159, of Anjouan, Comoros, licensed under ALSI-202509076-F12 issued on 30 September 2025 by Anjouan's offshore licensing authority. We could not verify that licence on a public register. Anjouan is a lighter regime than reformed Curaçao, with even fewer practical routes for player disputes, so this move is a step down in oversight, not up.
Either way, both are offshore licences. They give a supervisor and a complaints address, not the protection of a UK, Swedish or Maltese licence. Switzerland blocked bitcasino.io as unlicensed in August 2020, Public Gaming reported. We found no published proof of reserves and no independent game audit report to cite.
Bonuses and VIP
In October 2026 the homepage advertised a 100 percent first deposit match up to 1,500 USDT, plus cashback, tournaments and daily to monthly promotions. Its VIP club is invitation only, with a personal account manager, faster withdrawals and high-roller perks.
Deposit matches come with wagering requirements, maximum bet rules and game weightings, and those terms decide whether the bonus is worth anything. Read them before you accept, because disputes over bonus terms are a common route to confiscated winnings at crypto casinos. We do not list promo codes.
Streamers and ambassadors at Bitcasino.io
None of the slot streamers we track is a current, confirmed Bitcasino partner. The brand's best-known faces were music ambassadors from 2022, King Kaka, Tekno and Cassper Nyovest and we found no sign those deals are still running. If you do see a streamer playing here, sponsored creators usually play with balances supplied by the casino, so their wins say nothing about your chances.
Complaints, controversies and what has gone wrong
The complaint record is mixed rather than damning. On Trustpilot Bitcasino scored 2.3 out of 5 from 94 reviews on 20 October 2026, 75 percent of them one star, with only 10 reviews in the past year. Trustpilot notes the company has not replied to recent negative reviews, though it did reply to a positive one on 1 October 2026.
- Withdrawals and closures: Trustpilot reviews from August to December 2025 describe held or denied withdrawals, repeated KYC and accounts closed with funds kept.
- Support and privacy: a review dated 26 May 2026 describes a rude support agent; one from 15 May 2026, by a long-time VIP, alleges private account information was disclosed. Both are unverified player accounts.
- AskGamblers: 16 complaints, 9 marked resolved, average amount USD 233, including a 2.2 BTC withdrawal blocked over alleged multiple accounts (resolved) and a USD 450 withdrawal declined with the account restricted (unresolved).
- Fairness claims: some reviewers allege rigged games; there is no regulator or test-lab finding behind those claims.
On the other side, we found no regulator finding of misconduct, no court case and no hack with lost player funds in Bitcasino's twelve years. AskGamblers rates it 8.2 out of 10 on its own scale, and the volume of complaints is modest for a casino of this age and size. The bigger risk now is structural: an owner that wants out, and an operator change it has not explained.
The good and the bad, and our verdict
The good:
- Twelve years of trading with no regulator action against it that we could find.
- A Curaçao licence verified on the regulator's certificate, active in October 2026.
- A large game library from major providers, 14 coins and a strong reputation for fast crypto withdrawals.
- A modest number of AskGamblers complaints for its size.
The bad:
- A footer switch in autumn 2026 to EZ Spins Ltd and an Anjouan licence we could not verify, with no public explanation.
- A parent that has said it is leaving unregulated markets, with sale talks reported but never confirmed.
- A 2.3 Trustpilot score and recurring reports of KYC holds and closed accounts.
- Offshore licensing only, outside UK and EU player protection.
Our verdict: Bitcasino.io earned its place as a crypto casino pioneer and still has the games and the payout reputation to show for it. But in October 2026 it is a brand in transition: its owner is retreating, its own footer now points to a different company under a lighter licence, and nobody has told players why. We rate it Mixed, and we would not keep a large balance there until the ownership and licence picture is clear.
Bitcasino.io for UK readers
Bitcasino.io holds no UK Gambling Commission licence, and a casino needs one to offer gambling to people in Great Britain; review sites show it as restricted in the UK. Offshore crypto casinos sit outside GAMSTOP, the UKGC's rules and UK dispute services.
Crypto adds its own risks: your balance moves with the coin's price, blockchain transfers cannot be reversed, and casinos usually pay out in the coin you deposited. Bitcasino.io is a long-running, licensed casino: the Curaçao Gaming Authority shows Moon Technologies B.V. licensed for bitcasino.io since 1 July 2024, active in October 2026, and the brand has traded since 2014. In autumn 2026 its footer switched to EZ Spins Ltd and an Anjouan licence we could not verify, so check who you are dealing with before depositing.
Who owns Bitcasino.io?
Bitcasino.io was founded in 2014 by Coingaming Group, now Yolo Group, the Tallinn company built by Tim Heath. Yolo said in 2025 it would leave unregulated markets, and February 2026 reports said it was in talks to sell the brand, with Betsson named. By October 2026 the site footer named EZ Spins Ltd of Anjouan as operator, with no public explanation.
How fast are Bitcasino withdrawals?
Players often report crypto withdrawals landing within minutes, and many Trustpilot reviews from 2025 and 2026 praise payout speed. Delays usually come from verification: withdrawals above EUR 2,500 trigger full KYC, and some players report holds or closed accounts during checks. AskGamblers lists a minimum withdrawal of 0.001 BTC.
Does Bitcasino.io require KYC?
Only above a threshold, according to AskGamblers: withdrawals up to EUR 2,500 need email verification, while larger ones trigger full identity checks, which may run through a third-party verification service. The casino can also ask for documents at its discretion, so players planning bigger stakes should verify before requesting a large withdrawal.
Can UK players use Bitcasino.io?
Bitcasino.io holds no UK Gambling Commission licence, which any operator needs to offer gambling to people in Great Britain, and review sites show it as restricted in the UK. Offshore casinos like this sit outside GAMSTOP, UKGC rules and UK dispute services.
What is EZ Spins Ltd?
EZ Spins Ltd is the company Bitcasino.io's footer named as operator by 15 October 2026, registered in Anjouan, Comoros, under licence ALSI-202509076-F12 issued on 30 September 2025. Earlier captures named Moon Technologies B.V. under a Curaçao licence that is still listed as active. Bitcasino and Yolo Group have not explained the change publicly in anything we found.
