Great Ghosts!: Three Scatters, Three Modifiers

Pragmatic Play's haunted mansion slot built around a Ghost Respin feature with sticky money symbols and extra rows

Great Ghosts! at a glance

Great Ghosts! is a Pragmatic Play slot in which a trio of friendly spirits welcomes the player to an eerie mansion. The game is built around one bonus, the Ghost Respin, and three coloured scatters that decide how that bonus plays.

Blue, pink and green scatters can randomly trigger the Ghost Respin feature with up to three different modifiers. Inside the feature, sticky yellow money symbols are collected over a run of respins, and collecting enough of them unlocks extra rows at the top of the grid.

That makes Great Ghosts! a hold-and-respin game at heart, with the modifiers adding the variety. The rest of this page goes through each part using the rules Pragmatic Play publishes.

Great Ghosts! RTP and specs

Pragmatic Play's game page lists the RTP of Great Ghosts! as 96.50%. That is the only figure in the page's spec line.

The page does not publish a volatility rating, a max win, the grid size, a bet range or a release date, so none of those are given here. The two prize figures it does publish belong to features: yellow money symbols carry values of up to 1,250x, and the Mystery modifier sees pink scatters award prizes of up to 5,750x.

Neither of those is a stated max win for the game. The paytable and any win limit are in the game's own rules panel, which the demo opens.

How the Ghost Respin feature works

The Ghost Respin starts with three respins. Yellow money symbols that land are sticky, so they stay in place for the rest of the feature, and each one carries a value of up to 1,250x.

Each time a money symbol hits during the bonus game, the number of respins resets to three. So each new money symbol buys the feature another three respins from that point, which makes the run of hits, not the opening three spins, the measure of a good Ghost Respin.

The trigger is random. Pragmatic Play says the blue, pink and green scatters can randomly trigger the feature, so landing a scatter is a chance at the Ghost Respin rather than a guaranteed entry.

Unlocking the four extra rows

Collecting money symbols during the Ghost Respin also grows the grid. Collecting 8, 12, 16 and 20 of these symbols unlocks up to four additional rows at the top of the grid.

The steps are evenly spaced after the first: 8 symbols for the first extra row, then one more row for every further 4 symbols, with the fourth and last row at 20. A 4x4 Upgrade frame covers 16 positions, against 4 for a 2x2, which is worth bearing in mind once extra rows have opened.

Each money symbol therefore does two jobs at once: it resets the respins to three and moves the collection closer to the next row. The page does not publish values for money symbols on the extra rows, so the paytable in the game is the place to check them.

The Upgrade, Mystery and Extra modifiers

The Ghost Respin can come with up to three different modifiers. Pragmatic Play describes them as boosting the value of money symbols that land in certain positions, unlocking additional rewards, or adding more money symbols per respin.

Upgrade randomly adds 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 frames to the grid. Money symbols that land within a frame have their value increased, so the larger frames cover more positions that can be boosted.

Mystery sees pink scatters award prizes of up to 5,750x. It is the only modifier the game page links to a specific scatter colour, and it carries the largest published figure in the game.

Extra adds more money symbols to various grid positions. Pragmatic Play does not say on its page whether symbols added this way reset the respins or count towards the extra rows, so watch for both in the demo.

Great Ghosts! demo: what to watch

The free Great Ghosts! demo on this page uses play credits, so you can see how often the scatters lead to a Ghost Respin without staking anything. Slots are for adults aged 18 and over, and a demo shows how the mechanics behave, not what any future spin will pay.

When the feature starts, note which modifiers are active and which scatter colours landed. Pragmatic Play only ties the Mystery modifier to pink scatters on its page, so the demo is the place to see how blue and green fit in.

During the respins, count the money symbols against the 8, 12, 16 and 20 thresholds, and watch whether an Upgrade frame catches any of them. The rules panel lists the paytable and the full modifier rules.

FAQs

What is the RTP of Great Ghosts!?

Pragmatic Play lists the RTP of Great Ghosts! as 96.50% on its official game page. That is the long-run share of stakes returned as wins across a very large number of spins, not a guide to any one session. The page does not publish a volatility rating or a max win alongside it.

How do you trigger the Ghost Respin in Great Ghosts!?

Blue, pink and green scatters can randomly trigger the Ghost Respin feature, so a scatter gives a chance at the bonus rather than a guaranteed entry. The feature starts with three respins, sticky yellow money symbols worth up to 1,250x, and up to three different modifiers that change how the respins play.

What do the modifiers do in Great Ghosts!?

Upgrade randomly adds 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 frames that increase the value of money symbols landing inside them. Mystery sees pink scatters award prizes of up to 5,750x. Extra adds more money symbols to various grid positions. Separately, each money symbol that hits during the bonus game resets the respins to three.

How do the extra rows unlock in Great Ghosts!?

Collecting money symbols during the Ghost Respin unlocks extra rows at the top of the grid: one at 8 symbols, then 12, 16 and 20, for up to four additional rows. Each money symbol that hits also resets the respins to three, so collecting symbols both extends the feature and grows the grid.

Can you play the Great Ghosts! demo for free?

Yes. The Great Ghosts! demo on this page runs on play credits, so you can watch the coloured scatters, the Ghost Respin and its Upgrade, Mystery and Extra modifiers without staking money. It is for adults aged 18 and over and shows how the game behaves, not what any spin will pay.
