Rise of Ymir slot overview
Rise of Ymir is a mythology-themed Hacksaw Gaming slot played on five reels and four rows. Wins are formed through paylines, while much of the game revolves around sticky Ymir symbols, free respins and multipliers that can be combined.
The slot includes three separate bonus modes: Dawn of Gods, Fury of Ymir and Fall of Ymir. Each is triggered by a different number of FS scatter symbols and changes how the multiplier system behaves. The stated maximum win is 15,000 times the bet, and it is achievable in all game modes.
How Ymir's Conquest works
The central base-game feature is Ymir's Conquest. A Ymir symbol acts as a wild and substitutes for other paying symbols in the paytable. When it contributes to a winning combination, that win is multiplied by the value displayed on the Ymir symbol.
Possible Ymir values are 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x and 100x. If several Ymir symbols take part in the same winning combination, their values are added together before the resulting multiplier is applied.
Every landed Ymir symbol sticks to the grid. Once the current winning combinations have been awarded, the game provides a free respin. A new Ymir symbol landing during that respin keeps the sequence going, with respins continuing until no additional Ymir symbols appear.
Giant Ymir and the Megamultiplier
Filling all four positions of one reel with Ymir symbols creates a Giant Ymir. The four individual values are added together, and the resulting multiplier covers the entire Giant Ymir symbol. It then applies to any winning combination involving that reel-sized wild.
The Megamultiplier symbol introduces a global multiplier. It can only land together with a Ymir symbol or after one has already appeared. When it activates with Ymir symbols on the grid, their values are added together to form a Megamultiplier that applies to every win while active.
Activation also awards a respin. Any new Ymir symbols landing during later respins add their values to the global multiplier. In the regular game, the Megamultiplier is removed at the start of the next round.
Dawn of Gods free spins
Dawn of Gods is triggered by landing three FS scatter symbols at the same time in the base game. It begins with 10 free spins and retains both Ymir's Conquest and the Megamultiplier feature.
During this bonus, there is an improved chance of landing additional Ymir symbols and receiving higher Ymir multiplier values. Extra FS symbols can extend the feature: two FS symbols award two more free spins, while three FS symbols award four more.
Fury of Ymir and its persistent multiplier
Landing four FS scatter symbols at the same time activates Fury of Ymir with 10 free spins. It uses the same Ymir's Conquest and Megamultiplier mechanics, along with a better chance of finding more Ymir symbols carrying higher values.
The defining change is persistence. Once the Megamultiplier activates, it remains in place between spins until the bonus ends. New Ymir multipliers are collected into this global value and applied to all wins.
Fury of Ymir uses the same free-spin extension rules as Dawn of Gods. Two additional FS symbols award two extra spins, and three award four extra spins.
Fall of Ymir explained
Fall of Ymir is triggered by five FS scatter symbols and starts with three refilling lives instead of a fixed number of free spins. Its grid contains only non-paying dead symbols, Volcanic Ymir symbols, Megamultiplier symbols and Asgardian Orbs. FS symbols do not appear in this mode.
Each spin consumes one life. Landing any symbol other than a dead symbol resets the number of lives to three. The feature ends after three consecutive spins without a refill.
Volcanic Ymir symbols stick to the grid and can carry values of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x or 100x. A Megamultiplier symbol adds the values of all Volcanic Ymir symbols to a global multiplier, while the individual symbols keep their existing values on the grid.
Asgardian Orbs consume the collected global value and transfer it to Volcanic Ymir symbols. A green orb adds that value to every Volcanic Ymir on its reel, but has no effect if the reel contains none. A golden orb adds the value to every Volcanic Ymir symbol across the grid.
After an orb uses the global multiplier, that value resets to zero. Further Megamultiplier symbols can build it again. When the bonus ends, all remaining Volcanic Ymir values are added together and multiplied by the bet to calculate the final win.
What to watch in the free demo
The Rise of Ymir demo is useful for following the order of each mechanic. In the base game, watch how a landed Ymir becomes sticky, how its value affects a payline win and how every new Ymir extends the respin sequence.
It is also worth comparing the bonus modes rather than treating them as variations of the same feature. Dawn of Gods offers the standard free-spin setup, Fury of Ymir keeps an activated Megamultiplier between spins, and Fall of Ymir switches to a life-based collection system involving Volcanic Ymir symbols and Asgardian Orbs.
Rise of Ymir is ultimately structured around building and combining multiplier values. The key distinction is where those values are held: on individual Ymir symbols, across a Giant Ymir, inside a temporary or persistent Megamultiplier, or on the Volcanic Ymir grid at the end of Fall of Ymir.
