Dynasty of Death: Duels on the Reels

Hacksaw Gaming's underworld slot, where expanding VS symbols turn reels Wild and set two duelists against each other

Dynasty of Death at a glance

Dynasty of Death is a Hacksaw Gaming slot that pits the King and Queen of the Underworld against each other. The rivalry is the mechanic as well as the theme: wins can turn whole reels into DuelReels, where two duelists fight and the result decides the multiplier and any Cash Prize.

Everything runs through the VS symbol. When one is part of a win it expands to cover its reel, the reel turns Wild and a duel begins. Cash Prizes attached to the duelists can then pay out as a multiple of your bet once the regular wins are settled.

Three free spins bonuses build on that core, each with 10 free spins: King's Defence for 3 FS symbols, Queen's Dominion for 4 and Immortal Mate, the Hidden Epic Bonus, for 5.

Dynasty of Death RTP, volatility and max win

Hacksaw Gaming's page for Dynasty of Death does not publish an RTP, a volatility rating, a hit rate, a bet range, a grid size or a release date. It also refers to a Max Win without stating its value. None of those figures appear here for that reason.

The game's own information or paytable screen shows the RTP of the version you are playing, along with the max win, so check it there rather than trusting a number quoted elsewhere.

The figures the provider does publish describe the game's shape. Duelist multipliers run from 2x up to 100x on a DuelReel, and Cash Prizes range from 2x to the Max Win, which tells you that a single duel can, at its top end, decide the biggest result the game offers.

How DuelReels work

A VS symbol only matters when it is part of a win. Hacksaw Gaming describes it expanding when it is included in a win, and when it does, it covers the entire reel.

The expanded reel becomes a Wild DuelReel, so every position on it substitutes as Wild. That alone can extend or create wins across the reels on either side.

The expansion also starts a duel between 2 duelists, in keeping with a game that bills the King and Queen of the Underworld as going head-to-head. Hacksaw Gaming says the duelists' multipliers range from 2x up to 100x and apply to all wins connected to that reel. In practice, any winning combination that runs through the Wild DuelReel is multiplied by the duel's result.

The DuelReels name is shared with Hacksaw Gaming's Bullets and Bounty games, where the provider describes the same expanding VS symbol and Wild reel. Dynasty of Death's twist is the Cash Prize layer on top.

Cash Prizes on the DuelReel

A Cash Prize can be connected to either of the two duelists on a DuelReel. It is paid only if the duelist it is attached to wins the duel, so a prize on the losing side pays nothing.

Timing matters too. Cash Prizes are awarded after all regular wins on the spin have been handled, and they pay as a multiple of your bet rather than as a multiplier on line wins. Hacksaw Gaming lists them from 2x up to the Max Win.

As an illustration of how the two parts differ: a 10x duel multiplier depends on there being a win connected to that reel to multiply, while a 10x Cash Prize on the winning duelist pays 10 times the bet on its own once the spin's wins are settled.

King's Defence, Queen's Dominion and Immortal Mate

King's Defence starts when 3 FS symbols land and awards 10 free spins with an increased chance of DuelReels. It is the entry bonus: more duels, but no promise that any of them carries a Cash Prize.

Queen's Dominion starts with 4 FS symbols and also awards 10 free spins. Here every DuelReel has at least 1 duelling Cash Prize, so each duel that forms has something to pay beyond its multiplier, provided the right duelist wins.

Immortal Mate is the Hidden Epic Bonus, triggered by 5 FS symbols. Two VS symbols are guaranteed on every spin, and each DuelReel has two duelling Cash Prizes. That doubles the number of prizes in play on every duel compared with Queen's Dominion's minimum of one.

Hacksaw Gaming does not give a spin count for Immortal Mate on its game page, so check the in-game rules for its length.

Dynasty of Death demo: what to watch

The free Dynasty of Death demo on this page is the best way to see how often a VS symbol actually joins a win, since the expansion is tied to the VS symbol being part of one. Count how many land against how many turn into DuelReels.

When a duel starts, note which duelist carries the Cash Prize before the result is shown, and compare the multiplier values that appear against the published 2x to 100x range.

Hacksaw Gaming does not list a bonus buy on its Dynasty of Death page, so the demo shows the three bonuses arriving through FS symbols. A demo session shows how the mechanics behave, not what any future spin will pay.
