Dandy Diamonds at a glance
Dandy Diamonds is a Hacksaw Gaming slot built around one symbol, the Diamond. It is a Wild that can carry a multiplier, it starts sticky respins whenever it lands, and enough of them in a square merge into a Colossal Diamond.
Hacksaw frames the setting as a place filled with diamonds, jewels and a whole lot of glamour. Bolt symbols supply the extra multipliers, and three scatter bonuses for 3, 4 and 5 FS symbols change how long the Diamonds stay on the grid.
Hacksaw's game page does not publish an RTP, volatility rating, max win or release date for Dandy Diamonds, so this review covers the mechanics as the provider describes them and leaves those figures out.
Diamond symbols and Dandy Respins
A Diamond acts as a Wild, substituting for all symbols in the paytable, and can land with an additive multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x or 100x.
Every landed Diamond triggers a Dandy Respin once the spin's wins are paid. During the respin all Diamonds are sticky, keeping their position and multiplier while new symbols spin in around them.
Each new Diamond that lands awards another Dandy Respin. The sequence ends when no new Diamond lands or when there are no free positions left on the grid, and wins are paid after every respin, not only at the end.
When a Diamond multiplier is part of a win, the win is multiplied by its value. If several Diamonds share a win, their values are added first. As an illustration of that rule, a 5x and a 10x Diamond in the same combination pay at 15x.
Colossal Diamond symbols
Four or more Diamonds landing in a square of 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5 merge into a single Colossal Diamond. Their multiplier values are added together and the total belongs to the Colossal Diamond.
A Colossal Diamond is a Wild too, and its multiplier applies to each winning combination it is part of. That is the key difference from separate Diamonds: one large Wild with the combined value can touch several wins at once.
Colossal Diamonds can also grow. If new Diamonds land around one so that together they form a larger square, for example a 2x2 becoming a 3x3, the symbol expands. With Diamonds sticky during respins, each respin is another chance to fill out the next size.
Bolt and Epic Bolt symbols
Bolts are the game's multiplier boosters. A Bolt activates when it lands inside the 3x3 square around a Diamond or Colossal Diamond, and then applies or increases the multiplier of every Diamond in that 3x3 area before wins are paid.
An Epic Bolt has a wider reach. It activates whenever any Diamond is on the grid and applies or increases the multiplier of every Diamond and Colossal Diamond on the whole grid. Both kinds add one of these values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x.
Bolts can land on regular spins and during Dandy Respins, and spin out with the paying symbols once wins are handled. Hacksaw states that only 1 Bolt and Epic Bolt can land during the same spin, and when both activate, the Bolt goes first.
Diamond in the Rough and Play With Safire
Diamond in the Rough is the entry bonus: 10 free spins for 3 FS scatter symbols landing at once in the base game. It keeps the base game's rules, with an increased chance of landing Diamonds.
Play With Safire needs 4 FS symbols and also gives 10 free spins, but it changes the core mechanic. There are no Dandy Respins. Instead every Diamond and Colossal Diamond stays sticky in the same position for the whole bonus.
Multipliers in Play With Safire are progressive: each Diamond keeps its value until a Bolt or Epic Bolt raises it. As the round goes on, the grid fills with fixed Wilds whose values only move upwards.
In both bonuses, landing 2 FS symbols at the same time awards 2 extra free spins and 3 FS symbols award 4 more.
Hidden epic bonus: Ice and Shine
Ice and Shine is the hidden epic bonus, triggered by 5 FS scatter symbols at the same time in the base game. It awards 10 free spins and keeps all the Play With Safire rules: sticky Diamonds for the whole bonus and progressive multipliers.
Two things are added. A 3x3 Colossal Diamond is guaranteed to land on the first free spin, so the round opens with a large sticky Wild already in place. The Diamond multiplier list also gains a 6x value, giving 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x and 100x.
Retriggers work as in the other bonuses: 2 FS symbols add 2 free spins and 3 FS symbols add 4.
Dandy Diamonds demo: what to watch
The free Dandy Diamonds demo on this page uses play credits, so you can follow the Diamonds without staking money. Watch where each Bolt lands relative to the Diamonds: only Diamonds inside its 3x3 square get the boost, while an Epic Bolt reaches all of them.
During Dandy Respins, look for near-squares. Three Diamonds in an L shape need one more in the right cell to form a 2x2 Colossal Diamond, which pools their multipliers into one Wild.
Since Hacksaw's page gives no RTP, volatility or max win, open the game's own information screen in the demo to read those figures for the version loaded, along with any bonus buy option.

FAQs
What is the RTP of Dandy Diamonds?
Hacksaw Gaming's game page for Dandy Diamonds does not list an RTP, volatility rating or max win, so we do not quote one. The game's own information screen, which you can open in the demo, shows the RTP of the version that is loaded. The rules screen is also where to check for a bonus buy.
How do Dandy Respins work?
Any Diamond that lands triggers a Dandy Respin after wins are paid. All Diamonds stay sticky, keeping their position and multiplier, while new symbols spin in. Each new Diamond awards another respin, and the run ends when none lands or the grid is full. Wins are paid after every respin.
What is a Colossal Diamond in Dandy Diamonds?
When 4 or more Diamonds land in a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 or 5x5 square they merge into one Colossal Diamond, a Wild whose multiplier is the sum of their values. It applies that multiplier to every win it is part of, and it grows into a larger square if more Diamonds land around it.
How do you trigger the Dandy Diamonds bonus games?
Land FS scatter symbols at the same time in the base game. Three award Diamond in the Rough, 10 free spins with more Diamonds. Four award Play With Safire, 10 free spins with Diamonds sticky all round. Five award Ice and Shine, which adds a guaranteed 3x3 Colossal Diamond on the first spin.
